1.Can you give me an instruction on
how to order PCB from E-TekNet?
There are four steps to complete your
ordering:
Step 1:
You need to send us information through our online quote form at http://www.e-teknet.com/WebStore/pcbQuote.htm or
you can send the board data to
sales@e-teknet.com
and ask for an offline quote.
Step 2:
You will receive your quote instantly upon sending your online quote
request. Or you will receive the quote in 24
hours if you send an offline quote request. Then, if you are
happy with our quote, please send your PCB Gerber files to us. We encourage you
to ask whatever questions you may before ordering.
Step 3:
We will check your Gerber files to see if they match with the information on
your quote request form and if the Gerber files are complete and acceptable for
our manufacture processing. We may give you some suggestions if there
are some problems.
2.What CAM files do you accept?
-
Gerber files generated by PCB design software. 274X format is preferred.
Other Gerber formats, such as 274D, may have compatibility problems
with CAM's and we will not be responsible should there be problems generated
by non-274X format.
3.
What Gerber files do you need to
produce my board?
Different PCB CAD software has different file extension definitions. The following Gerber files and drill files
are just examples from Protel.

3-1.
Do you accept DFX or DWG file generated by AutoCAD instead of Gerber file?
Yes. We
can use your DFX or DWG file
generated
by AutoCAD
to make boards. We transfer the AutoCAD
file to Gerber files to make your boards.
A PDF file shown correct
board layout and generated by the customer is required. We will be
responsible if the Gerber files generated by us from the AutoCAD file are
wrong compared to the PDF file. However, we will not be responsible
if the PDF file is wrong.
4.
Do you check my artwork?
We check your artwork based on Gerber
files or AutoCAD files. We do provide some suggestions to you, free of charge if you need, on our design
rules such as increasing clearance, trace width or pad size to decrease cost or
make your ordered boards within our manufacturing capability. But it is still up to
you to make decision.
5.Where should I send my PCB files?
Please email your files to: sales@e-teknet.com.
6.What do you do with my Set-up
& Test NRE charge?
The set-up charge is used for our
preparation of tooling and photo process. The test charge is used for our
preparation of test fixtures and test program for test of your board. The Set-up & Test NRE
charge is nonrecurring. It means you will not need to pay the NRE charge for
repeat orders of the same PCB layout files.
7.What are your manufacturing
capabilities?
For this information, please check
our site at http://www.e-teknet.com/ProductPCB.htm.
8.Can you give me an instruction on
how to send a quote request to E-TekNet and what information do you need for a

9.How
do you send the quote to me upon submit of my online quote request?
You will receive the quote instantly

10.What is the Lead Time?
The Lead Time is the duration between
the time you order and the time the boards to be shipped. The time should be in business hours from 8 am to
5
pm (PST). You should add additional days for weekends and national holidays.
11.
How should I pay for my ordering?

12. What is hold-up?
We hold up production of your boards for your instruction or revision if there are any
problems in your board layout files. It may come from mistakes from your
board files or some possible problems in your board design. You should check
your board files very carefully to avoid hold-up. The hold-up may delay shipping
of your ordered product! It takes about one ~ two days to resume production after
one hold-up period.
